Types of Sources

  1. Books — great for detailed information on a topic
  2. Encyclopedias — good for basic facts about almost anything
  3. Websites — fast and easy, but you need to check if they are trustworthy
  4. People (experts) — doctors, teachers, and scientists know a lot about their topics
  5. Videos and documentaries — show you things in action
  6. Newspapers and magazines — good for current events and news
Which Source Would You Use?

If you wanted to know how to spell a word, you might use a dictionary. If you wanted to know what the weather will be tomorrow, you might check a weather website. Different questions need different sources!
